A catch-all functionality that is activated for a given mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise put, if you delete an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled address under the exact same domain name, you’ll get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be essential in case you are running some business, for instance. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited bulk emails, you can use the catch-all option with anti-spam filters in order to get only legitimate email messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting
You will be able to configure a catch-all mailbox easily in case you’ve got a shared web hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-rich, yet extremely easy to work with, and it will allow you to activate various options, including the catch-all one, with just several clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each one of them you’ll notice a small-size "Catch-all" logo. Clicking it once will activate the feature, clicking it once more will deactivate it. Since you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you’ve already got another one with this option activated or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.
